Accessibility
Wheelchair/Motorized Mobility Device
Sohotel is committed to providing optimal service and experience to all our guests including those with disabilities. Sohotel was built in 1805 and as such, its structure does not meet the 1991 ADA standards. Even though Sohotel is a walk up, several years ago we renovated the front entrance to be ADA compliant. However, due to the inherent historic structure of the building, all guest rooms begin on the second floor and have an entrance width less than 36 inches and a bathroom entrance width less than 36 inches. At this time we do not have an elevator. The only way to navigate between our floors is by staircase. Our registration desk and all guest rooms begin on the second floor making the path not accessible by wheelchair. If a guest must use a wheelchair or otherwise motorized mobility device, Sohotel will gladly assist in obtaining accommodations at another local hotel that will meet all accessibility needs. Hearing and Vision Impaired
Sohotel can provide strobe (flashing) and vibrating smoke/carbon alarms (upon request).
All hallways are equipped with strobe (flashing) fire alarms.
All televisions are equipped with closed captions.
Reservations
A credit card with an EMV chip is required at the time of booking to guarantee all reservations. Special offers may require payment in full depending on the time of booking and special terms will be stated during the booking process.
You are required to be at least 18 years old to make a reservation
One night's room rate and tax will be charged at time of booking
Please be aware that all rates and quotes are net USD.
Additional Hotel Taxes are: NY State Tax 8.875% / NY City Tax 5.875% / Occupancy Tax $3.50 (per night)
RESERVATIONS MADE WITH A DECLINED OR INVALID CREDIT CARD ARE SUBJECT TO CANCELLATION WITHOUT NOTICE.
Service Fee
A Service Fee allows our guests access to everything Sohotel has to offer including High Speed internet service for unlimited devices, an in-room safe, luggage storage, mailing or receiving of packages, imported StoneStreet coffee made with carbon filtered water. A service fee of $21.99 + Tax per day will be applied to your bill.
Third Party Payment
All third-party credit authorization form must be completed, signed and received 72 hours prior to Check-In.
Cancellation
1.Refundable reservations: If the reservation is canceled 48 hours prior to check-in it will be canceled at no charge. If the reservation is canceled within 48 hours of check-in it will be canceled and a first night room charge will be charged.
2. Non-refundable reservations: If canceled at any time the full amount of the reservation will be charged.
Modifications
Any guest can modify his or her reservation by emailing reservations@thesohotel.com.

Smoking
Sohotel is a non-smoking hotel. In the Event the room smells of smoke a $250 cleaning fee will be charged.

Check-in
Check in time is 4:00 PM
Should you arrive earlier, we can provide an early check-in, additional fees will apply. We are happy to store your luggage for you as well.
Upon check in, you will be required to provide a valid picture ID and a major credit card. Your credit card will be authorized full payment of your stay plus $250.00 security deposit for incidental charges. Unused authorizations will be released at check out and will take 5 to 7 business days to appear on your account depending on the issuing bank.
If Credit Card holder of the reservation is not staying in the reserved room a "Third Party" Credit Card Authorization Form must be completed and E-mailed to the hotel directly prior to Check-In. Sohotel reserves the right to reject any reservation that does not meet these criteria.
Check-out
Standard check out time is at 11:00AM
If your departure is later, you may contact the front desk to put in a request for late check out.
Late check out request are subject to availability on the day of, additional fees may apply.
We also offer complimentary luggage storage up to 12 hours
Luggage Storage
Luggage storage is available only for guests currently staying with the hotel.
Sohotel is not responsible for damage or any items left behind.
Packages
Sohotel is happy to received packages for you, just follow the below rules and you're all set.
Packages may be received 24 hours in advance of your Arrival date and during your stay.
Packages can be held for 4 days. Any packages left for more than 4 days will be removed.
All packages must be addressed to the main reservation holder on file.
Packages may not exceed 28" x 22" x 14". Larger Packages will be refused.
Sohotel is not responsible for damages or missing packages.
Lost and Found
Sohotel can hold lost and found items for 72 hours. if shipping is need please contact info@thesohotel.com to get proper shipping and handling quotes.
Location
Sohotel is centrally located in downtown Manhattan right off the corner of Broome & Bowery. "The Bowery" refers to the neighborhood surrounding the boulevard in the scenic downtown area, but the road itself is the oldest thoroughfare in Manhattan. We are walking distance to many other New York neighborhoods such as Little Italy, Chinatown, Soho, Tribeca, Greenwich Village, East Village and New York city lower East Side.
Subway Service
The B and D train is located on the corner of Chrystie St and Grand St 2 blocks away from the hotel
The J and Z train is located on the corner of Bowery and Delancey St 2 blocks away from the hotel.
The 6 Train is located on the corner of Spring and Lafayette Streets, a few blocks from the hotel

Gym
The closest gym is Ludlow Fitness located at 100 Delancey St. Sohotel Guests pays approximately $10.00 per day. This gym is independently owned & operated, fees are subject to change without notice.
The YMCA located at 273 Bowery, offers a day pass of $20.00 This facility also features a swimming pool.
Breakfast
We offer complimentary Tea & Coffee daily from 7AM. Sohotel does not offer Breakfast in the hotel, however there are several breakfast options within walking distance. Here is a hand pick of our recommendations

Pets
Service pets are welcome and require proper documentation. Service animals must be accompanied at all times while on the premises. A $250 Cleaning Fee Will Be added to the reservation. Please note this cleaning fee does not cover damages and additional charges may be applied. The reservation holder is responsible for any damage that occurs in the room during their stay. Housekeeping has the right to refuse service if service animal is uncrated in guest room.
